Skincare regimen for dry skin

Your face and skin seems to be very second priority sort of thing and unfortunately a lot of people think that healthy skin is only because of DNA, they are very reluctant in believing that their skin’s bad condition is because of the sluggishness and lazy behavior. Apart from a skincare regimen including skin cleansers such as aqua plus series, there is a lot to do.

There are a lot of things that are involved in maintaining a healthy skincare regimen. You must make sure that you are taking good care of your health as well in order to make sure that your skin is in good health.

In this article, we will discuss a skincare regimen for dry skin, but before that let us have a look at the reasons for dry skin.

  1. Unbalanced PH

Your skin’s PH matters a lot,  you have to balance it through your diet and the products, you apply, otherwise, there can be a breakout and pigmentations, your skin’s outer layer would become weak rendering it more sensitive.

Normal skin’s PH is 5.5, but when your skin is getting dry the PH is 6.5, it means that the more alkaline soaps or water you are applying to your face the drier it would be, you might have noticed it as well.

  1. Dry air

When the air outside your body is dry, having low water content then the chances of evaporation increases, thus during dry weathers your skin will develop a dry layer.

  1. Hyperthyroidism

The hyperthyroidism condition causes a decrease in the production of various hormones, one of them is the eccrine gland hormone. This decreases ultimately affects the skin condition.

  1. Excessive washing

If you would constantly rub or polish your face, then the layer of new skin cells will come off rendering dry skin.

  1. Strong chemicals

If you have got thin and sensitive skin then using high potential and strong chemicals will dry up your skin, extracting all the oils from it.

Tips for keeping your dry skin healthy

In this section we would have a look at the best tips that can save dry skin from more damage. Most of the time, the dry skin is simply because of laziness and a lethargic attitude.

  1. Moisturizing

Using moisturizers is the most effective thing, they are cheap and affordable and at the same time you simply need to wash your face for applying moisturizers, there are not any fix timings, you can use them anytime and anywhere.

For dry skin, you must use hyaluronic acid and ceramides they would work best, however, those moisturizers that have got alcohol or artificial essences they might not suit your skin.

Some natural moisturizers include plant-based oils, coconut oil, and aloe Vera gel. You may also use shea butter.

The best time to use moisturizers is the nigh time because at that time there are no external agents that would disturb the pH of your skin.

  1. cleansing

Having a dry skin makes cleaning a tough task, you are not supposed to clean daily, however, if you are a working woman and want to keep your skin clean then for a daily basis a light and mild cleanser are fine.

Sodium lauryl sulfate is one of the most suitable cleansers for dry skin, cleansing at night is far more effective than the daytime.

  1. exfoliate

Dry skin is more likely to accumulate a layer of dead skin cells than oily skin, that is why exfoliating more than thrice a week is essential.

You can use mechanical scrubbers, chemical scrubbers both can be equality beneficial, but if you have got sensitive skin then brushes for mechanical scrubbing is the best.
